Parks, Recreation & Visiting Fonda

Winter Parking

Winter weather is part of life in Fonda, and keeping our streets clear overnight helps the Village safely and efficiently remove snow and ice for everyone who lives, works and travels here.

Seasonal Information

November 1 – April 1

12:00 Midnight – 7:00 A.M.

No parking on Village streets between midnight and 7:00 a.m.

From November 1 through April 1, parking on Village streets is prohibited between 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m., unless otherwise indicated.

Whether you are a resident, tenant, overnight guest or visitor, please make arrangements to park off the street during these hours.

Keeping vehicles off Village streets overnight gives our Department of Public Works crews the room they need to plow, treat and clear the roadway — and helps us provide safer streets for the entire community.

Help Us Keep Fonda Moving

During significant snowfall or other winter weather, residents and visitors can help our crews by:

  • Keeping vehicles off Village streets during restricted hours
  • Moving vehicles to an appropriate off-street parking location before midnight
  • Watching Village announcements for additional parking information during significant storms or snow emergencies
  • Giving snowplows and other Public Works equipment plenty of room to work

Thank you for helping our Department of Public Works crews keep Fonda’s streets safe and accessible throughout the winter.

Snow Emergencies & Additional Information

During significant winter weather or a snow emergency, the Village may provide additional parking instructions or restrictions. Residents should check the Village website and News & Public Notices for the latest information.

The current Village winter parking restriction is associated with Village Code § 155-12, Parking Prohibited Certain Hours.
