The Village of Fonda receives two reports from the New York State Comptroller Office who help us monitor our financial stability and environmental stability.

This year, our Village has No Designation in both monitored areas meaning we have no financial stress or environmental stress. We have improved our environmental stress condition by 6.7 points, removing the Village from a Susceptible Stress Level to No Designation.

Although we have consistently done well with maintaining the financial status of the Village, we continue to work toward improvements. Of concern to me is the median household values under our environmental stress score (20 points). The Village is committed to assisting our homeowners with the progress of their homes in any manner possible. We continue to study funding opportunities to reach this end. Additionally, we continue to enhance our resources, both natural and made, for our residents.

We look forward to tackling areas and improving our position as a community even further.
