Public Notice
Boil Water Advisory Lifted Route 5 West, Hickory Hill Road, Piling Drive, and Perry Lane

Dear Water Users,

The boil water advisory in your area has been officially lifted. The water supply has been tested and meets all safety and quality standards. Regular water use may now resume.

The New York State Department of Health recommends the following steps after a boil water advisory is lifted:

  1. Flush Your Pipes:
    • Run all cold water faucets for at least five minutes.
    • If your home has multiple levels, start at the top floor and work your way down.
  2. Flush Appliances:
    • Clear any standing water from automatic ice makers and water dispensers.
    • Run at least two batches of ice and discard them.
  3. Replace Filters:
    • Replace any water filters in refrigerators, faucets, or other devices. Filters may trap contaminants and should not be reused.
    • If you removed filters before the boil water advisory was issued, we recommend keeping them bypassed or removed while flushing your lines. Reinstall or replace them only after flushing is complete.
  4. Check for Air in Pipes:
    • If your water appears cloudy or sputters, let it run until it clears. This is normal and occurs as air exits the pipes.
