BOIL WATER ORDER – LIFTED Effective November 3rd 2021
Effective immediately, we advise all Village of Fonda Water Users to boil all drinking water for at least two minutes or use bottled water.
High water levels have caused turbidity within our water system, requiring the Water Commissioner’s Order.
Turbidity is the measure of the relative clarity of a liquid. It is an optical characteristic of water and is a measurement of the amount of light scattered by material in the water when a light is shined through the water sample. The higher the intensity of scattered light, the higher the turbidity.
The Boil Water Order Will Remain In Effect Until Further Notice
