The Village of Fonda is offering FREE large item pickup for properties within the village. Oversized items such as refrigerators, freezers, and mattresses can be scheduled for pickup during this period.

To schedule your pickup, contact the Village Clerk at 518.853.4335 x 20 or email [email protected] to arrange your appointed date and time.

Please note that charges for special items will be passed through in accordance with the Montgomery County Solid Waste 2024 Rate Schedule dated 5/1/2024.

Payments must be made at the time of the scheduled pickup. Accepted forms of payment include Cash, Check, or Money Order. Exact cash is required for cash payments, and a receipt will be provided. The Village of Fonda reserves the right to reject any unacceptable materials.

Items and Fees:

• Refrigerators and Freezers: $20.00/Unit
• Small Items Fee (air conditioners, dehumidifiers, water coolers, empty propane tanks): $5.00/Unit
• Tires 20 inches and below (off the rim): $8.00/Tire
• Tires 20.5 inch – 24.5 (off the rim): $12.00/Tire
• Tires mixed with Municipal Solid Waste: $20.00/Tire +
• Fluorescent Bulbs: $0.40/Unit

Construction debris, regular household biodegradable trash, and landscaping debris are prohibited.

Proof of residency is required at the time of pickup.
