🚨 Public Notice from the Village of Fonda 🚨
Several Watches and Warnings remain in effect for our area. A Flash Flood Warning is in place for this evening, and a Flood Watch continues until tomorrow morning. Additionally, tornado watches are in effect, and Governor Kathy Hochul has declared a statewide state of emergency.
Here in the Village of Fonda, we’ve experienced gusty winds and heavy rain, with the possibility of more rain tonight. Our primary concern is the residual flooding from the runoff north of the Village that may impact us further. We are closely monitoring the situation.
Emergency Services are actively responding to the needs of our community, and National Grid has brought in additional staff to assist customers. We urge you to stay informed by monitoring weather updates and communications from emergency services. Please avoid roadways if possible, and be cautious of standing water on streets and roads—take it slow until conditions improve.
If you encounter flooding or require assistance, contact Montgomery County Dispatch at 518.853.5500. In case of a life-threatening emergency, dial 911 immediately.
Stay safe, Fonda Residents and Our Neighboring Communities!
