Good news, the Phase I opening of “non-essential” businesses included the Village of Fonda. The opening begins on May 15th with the required pre-requisites met below. Please read this notification in its entirety.

Phase I Businesses Include:

  • Construction
  • Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, and Hunting
  • Retail – (Limited to curbside or in-store pickup or drop off)
  • Manufacturing
  • Wholesale Trade

Affirmation Requirments Set by New York State

The State has provided guidelines for each industry scheduled for the opening during Phase I. The State has made it the responsibility of each business to read these guidelines and complete an affirmation they read and understand these guidelines.

Safety Plans and Breakdown of Industries

Conspicuously Post Completed safety plans on-site. The State has made available a business reopening safety plan template to guide business owners and operators in developing methods to protect against the spread of COVID-19.

Once you have completed the Safety Plan for your business, you should maintain one copy at your place of business or work location, one posted in a conspicuous location, and forward a final copy by email or facsimile to the Village Code Enforcement Officer. The record is an accessible public record maintained in the Village Municipal Building by the Village Clerk.
