The Village of Fonda is re-inviting bids for the collection and removal of garbage, trash, and recyclable materials within the village limits. This contract presents an opportunity for qualified waste management providers to offer essential services to the community for five years, beginning June 1, 2025.

Scope of Services

The selected contractor will be responsible for:
✅ Weekly collection of waste from all residential and small commercial properties
✅ Recycling collection following local and state regulations
✅ Spring and Fall Dumpster Services to accommodate seasonal clean-ups
✅ Providing and maintaining commercial waste bins for municipal buildings at no cost
✅ Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

Contractor Requirements

📌 Experience: Minimum three (3) years of prior municipal waste collection experience within the last ten (10) years
📌 Insurance Coverage: General Liability, Automobile Liability, Workers’ Compensation
📌 Compliance with Village Code Chapter 138 governing waste collection

Fixed Pricing Requirement

Bidders must provide a fixed-rate pricing structure for the full contract term. Conditional pricing, such as fuel surcharges, will not be accepted.

Important Notes

⚠️ Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked:
“Bid for the Collection and Removal of Garbage, Trash, and Recyclable Materials – Bid #25-02.”
⚠️ A Non-Collusive Bidding Certificate must be included with all submissions.
⚠️ The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids and award the contract to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
