Take 10 and Help Your Community
The Village of Fonda’s response to the Census is considerably low; in fact, Montgomery County’s response is below average, and we are running out of time!
We lose funding for so many essential needs that affect your community every day for each unaccounted person.
The 2020 Census results will help determine how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding flow into communities every year for the next decade. That funding shapes many aspects of every town and village – no matter the size.
Closer to home – The Census results help determine how to allocate money for grants supporting teachers and special education.
The list goes on, including programs to support rural areas, to maintain water quality and sewage treatment facilities, to prepare for floods, and to provide housing assistance for families and older adults.
So I am asking you to “Take 10” and Support Your Community by answering the questionnaire you receive or going online and answering a handful of questions.
