The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Utica Regional Office has issued the following travel advisory for motorists in the Village of Fonda, Montgomery County:

On Tuesday, October 27 through Wednesday, October 28, 2020 Route 30A will be closed between State Route 5 and Mills Terrace. Signed detours will be utilized to advise motorists of the road closure and direct traffic to the appropriate detour routes.

Variable message signs (V.M.S.) have been in operation notifying local motorists of the construction work.

Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.  Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
